Creditrans

The Creditrans uniform ticket is a with money ticket to travel with for a reduced price. It is a TRANSPORT TICKET, good for travelling every transport operator within the Creditrans network. These operators are the Bilbao Metro, Feve, Renfe, Txorierri line of Eusko Tren, Tramway of Bilbao, Bilbobus, Bizkaibus, Etxebarri Bus, Autobus de Erandio, Auzobus (Amorebieta-Etxano), KBus (Barakaldo), Transporter Bridge, Artxanda Funicular, Larreineta Funicular and Ereaga lift.

It is a money, available at the following prices:

  • 5 €
  • 10 €
  • 15 €

The Credit is used up as trips are used on the card. Every time a trip is made, the remainder left is printed on the credit card in euro cents (without point). Moreover, additional information (date, operator line) is printed which is good for making inspections of the ticket.

The fares charged to make the trips are settled by each institution or operator. For the year 2012 are these:

Trips may be made on every operator in the Creditrans network in every zone of transport within the Territory of Biscay with the only limitation of an available balance (money) on the ticket.

It may be used by many people so that they can travel together with the same ticket. A transfer, discounted by an operator or the same operator between different lines, may be made in which a reduction will be applied to the amount for the second trip. There will be a restriction on the time interval to make transfers, always bearing in mind the type of trip made (Urban, Intercity). It may be transferred, as it is NOT a personalized ticket.

When the balance is insufficient to make a trip, the ticket may be used on the bus in which the rest of the amount is paid in cash or with another Creditrans ticket with credit. On the Bilbao Metro and Bilbao Tramway , a new ticket may be purchased in which the remaining balance on the old ticket may be transferred. The information on the band is transferred to the new ticket by reproducing the same functionality currently present on transport operators operating on highways.

Hirukotrans

The equivalent ticket to Creditrans aimed at Large Families. There are two types: F20 and F50 according to whether it is general or special category.

It works in the same way as Creditrans except for the following:
- It is personal and non-transferable and must be accompanied by the card authorising the holder.
- It is available at a cost of € 5.00.
- It can be acquired by holders of the Gazte, Kide or Gizatrans for Large Families cards issued by the CTB, from Metro Bilbao vending machines and Bilbobus and Bizkaibus vending kiosks.

The fares payable for each journey are those established by each Administration or operator. For 2012 they are as follows:

  Gizatrans

This is a subsidised travel pass for persons of a predetermined age and for those with a pre-established degree of physical or mental disability.

It comprises two elements: an entitlement card and a ticket which is inserted into the ticket validating machine on each trip. Both are personal and non-transferable.

It is valid for travel on the carriers of the Gizatrans network, i.e. Metro Bilbao, EuskoTren, the Bilbao tramway, Bilbobus, Bizkaibus, Etxebarri Bus, Autobus de Erandio, Auzobus (Amorebieta-Etxano), KBus (Barakaldo), Transporter Bridge, and the Artxanda and Larreineta funicular railways.

The ticket is a purse card with a face value of 5 euros, from which the fare for each trip is discounted. On each use, the remaining balance in euro cents (without the decimal) is printed on the ticket, along with travel information (carrier, line, date, time of boarding, etc.).

From January 1, 2009 the Gizatrans range has been expanded with the incorporation of Gizatrans cards for Large Families F20 and F50, according to whether it is general or special category.

It works in the same way as the normal Gizatrans but it can only be used by its holder and bearer of the Gizatrans for Large Families card issued by the CTB.

The Gizatrans for Large Families tickets are available from Metro Bilbao vending machines and Bilbobus and Bizkaibus vending kiosks.

The fare payable is established by each authority or carrier. Same fare for all zone conbinations. The fares for 2012 are as follows:
