The Biscay Transport Authority was launched with the goal of building the Bilbao underground and in December, 2000, it celebrated its 25th anniversary deeply involved in work on Line 2 which provides service for the Left Bank of Greater Bilbao.

Also by that time, it managed to come up with CREDITRANS, a step prior to reordering public transport in the territory which will be another one of its most complicated and important challenges.
